Need Your Help

As the owner of my own company, I am incredibly proud and grateful to be in that position. I will never complain, despite all the big and little pitfalls that come along the way. While most of the time things are AMAZING and inspired and smooth, sometimes things can get scary and unsure too. And I CAN ask for help when faced with a possible pitfall. This is where you come in:

Here is a little insight to owning a company such as this one- sales are incredibly seasonal! And typically, with careful planning, the busy seasons make up for the slower seasons and all is well. But other times- especially when life changes come along, and/or when you start taking some risks in an attempt to grow your business further, you suddenly fall short. I am falling short. I am on the cusp of one of my best and favorite seasons of the year, but I am having a hart time making ends meet. I am in the middle of a huge life change that comes with it’s share of new costs. There are a few big new shows that I am setting my sights on for this year, and in addition I HAVE to restructure my business to keep myself from burning out. This is all taking some resources that are due now, that I simply don’t have.

And just like that, from a 4lb 4oz little chicken wing, that little man turns into a 10 year old resilient little trooper, and lover of the world. Happy Birthday my little man. You make my heart explode.

Restructuring

This year, I will have been in business as a jewelry designer for ten years!! I am incredibly grateful for this and hope I am lucky enough to keep it up for another ten to come.
As is to be expected, at a milestone like this, I am looking at this beauty of a business I have, and implementing ways to keep it healthy, and myself from getting overwhelmed with it’s growth. Cut some unnecessary weight where needed, and focus on the areas that are working out the best.
Part of this change is having my designs that are one-of-a-kind not available at the online shop full time. Don’t worry- you will always have access to the Peapods, and the Pennies, but a lot of other items- Made of Money, some of the enameled pieces, and the new laminate designs, are difficult to manage online stock of while also hauling it to shows up and down the east coast. So from now on, I will only be listing those occasionally, and temporarily, to the online shop. I don’t really know what this is going to look like exactly, but I know it’s something that needs to happen in an effort to simplify things from where I am sitting.
There are quite a few items in my shop at the moment that are going to be taken down on Friday 3/8, and so I thought I should probably give you a head’s up. You can see the overview of what’s about to come down here, but throughout the week I will highlight a few of them here.
